BD Nexiva Closed IV Catheter System is a complete catheter system with tubing and
extension set for administering safer IV therapy. A complete closed system (COS) with a
preattached extension set reduces leakage and exposure to blood in comparison to a
traditional open system (MOS) IV catheter that attaches separately. It also offers a soft,
flexible platform specifically designed for needle stability and comfort decreasing movement
within the vessel. BD Nexiva preserves the site longer to minimize complications for longer
dwell times.
